John Kyle - Executive Director, Capital Fellows - Christian leadership development program, Washington DC

John Kyle

Director

 

Since 2013, John has served as the Director of the Capital Fellows program, overseeing the program’s vision and strategy for discipling recent college graduates. He is also the executive director of The Fellows Initiative, the national network of fellows programs. Previously, he held senior leadership roles with several global companies, nonprofits and startups in North America and Europe. John has a PhD in social science and business from the University of Derby, an MBA from Heriot Watt University, and an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Kentucky. He has been an ordained ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church in America since 1993. He enjoys time with his wife Shirley, their twin daughters, and two grandchildren.

Chin-Chin Minniear

Assistant Director, Capital Fellows Fairfax Site

 

Chin-Chin is responsible for supporting program operations as well as discipling fellows. Chin-Chin first came to the DMV (years before it was called the DMV) for a career in public policy and did stints in the executive and legislative branches as well as in consulting. In the years since, Chin-Chin has covered a lot more territory, both geographically and vocationally. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago, a master’s in public policy (MPP) from the University of Michigan, and an MA in clinical psychology from Wheaton College.An urbanite at heart, Chin-Chin enjoys the innovation, diversity, cuisine, and social networks found in larger cities. That being said, she and her husband look forward to exploring more of our National Parks with their two children in the coming years.

Assistant Director, Capital Fellows McLean Site

 

Martha coordinates most of the day-to-day aspects of the program while mentoring and discipling fellows. A Virginia Tech graduate, Martha came to the Capital Pres Family as a Capital Fellow in the class of 2017. After her fellows year, she served on the MPC staff with Student Ministries. Martha’s ideal day involves a slow morning, quality time with friends, and eating food she didn’t have to make. In addition to being the assistant director of Capital Fellows, Martha is also serves as the assistant director of young adult ministries at McLean Presbyterian Church.

Bill Clark

Professor - Identity and Relationships

 

Bill is a licensed psychologist with a practice in Reston, Virginia. He is also the Director and Co-Founder of the Lay Counselor Institute. He serves as an adjunct professor at Cairn University and Reformed Theological Seminary. Bill was trained by Dr. Larry Crabb and Dr. Dan Allender at Grace Seminary, where he received an MA in Biblical Counseling. He also has a BA from the College of William & Mary, an MA in Theology from Fuller Seminary and a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland. Bill and his wife, Debbie, live in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Bill Fullilove

Professor - Biblical Theology

 

Bill is the Lead Pastor of Multiplication and Scholar in Residence at McLean Presbyterian Church. He is also Associate Professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary, New York City. Previously, Bill was Assistant Professor of Old Testament and Academic Dean at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. He was also the founding director of the Capital Fellows Program. Bill has a PhD in Semitic and Egyptian Languages and Literature from The Catholic University of America, an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary and a BA from Princeton University. Bill, his wife, Jill, and their two children live in Arlington, Virginia.

Irwyn Ince

Professor - Leadership, Vocation and Society

 

Irwyn serves as the leader of Presbyterian Church in America's Mission to North America (MNA) and is focused on equipping the church for service, growth, and multiplication. Dr. Ince is a graduate of City College of NY, Reformed Theological Seminary, and Covenant Theological Seminary. After an eleven year career with Motorola as a systems engineer and project engineering manager, he began full time ministry at Mount Zion Covenant Church in Bowie, MD. Mount Zion merged with New Town Church to plant City of Hope Presbyterian Church, where he served as Senior Pastor from 2007-2017. He is the author of Beautiful Community: Unity, Diversity and the Church at Its Best. Irwyn and his wife, Kim, have four children - Jelani, Nabil, Zakiya, and Jeremiah.

Ryan Laughlin

Instructor - Life and Leadership

 

Ryan was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC. — the same city in which, many years later, he met his wife, Heather. A graduate of West Point, Ryan served as an officer in the Army. After graduating from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2004, until 2007, he served as an Assistant Pastor at McLean Presbyterian Church. Prior to answering the call as the Senior Pastor of McLean Presbyterian Church and the Capital Pres Family, Ryan served as Senior Pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. Ryan and Heather have three boys, Nathan, Luke, and Zachary.

Terence Little

Instructor, Life & Leadership

 

As the Ministries Pastor, Terence oversees the communities at the Capital Pres Family. Terence grew up in the foothills of North Carolina and comes from about five generations of pastors. While in college, Terence became involved with Campus Outreach, where he gained a passion for discipleship. He went to seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte Washington, D.C. Terence spent several years working with a children’s home in North Carolina. A country boy at heart, Terence enjoys getting away to a rural place for time spent reading and thinking and praying.

Rob Yancey

Instructor - Life and Leadership

 

Rob is the Lead Pastor for Capital Presbyterian Family’s Fairfax site, where he oversees worship, community, and missions. Previously, Rob served as a Pastor of Family Ministry in Bethesda, MD, shepherding families ranging from newly-marrieds to those with older children, as well as overseeing the Newly Married, Children’s, and Youth ministries. Rob and his wife, Liz, spent 8 years serving in South Africa where he was Area Director for Campus Outreach Johannesburg. Rob earned his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed his Masters of Divinity with Reformed Theological Seminary in 2014. Rob, Liz, and their two sons live in Fairfax, Virginia.
